Interesting Video Post

Hi Robert,
I found the video about David Foster Wallace interesting. He hit it head on when he said people don't like to be quiet anymore and read or look at art. Also where did you find everyone's email address for class? Could you email it to me?
Thanks,
Teach

Share Blogs and E-mails

Hi.  Blog looks great!  Do you have the e-mail addresses for the rest of the class?  If so, please e-mail them to me at davido@bridgeport.edu so I can invite our classmates to Team Blog as well.  Thanks

Me and Davd Foster Wallace

Every now and then, when I'm really bored, I'll take an online survey, mostly to compare my experiences with those of my friends. There was one about  year ago that had me cut andf paste a sample of my writing for analysis. I tried this with one of my essays and was told I write like the late, Dasvid Foster Wallace. While the name was vaguely familiar to me, I knew nothing about him. Heck, I've still never read him. But, to be compared with someone so well regarded is certainly a compliment.

For those unaware of Wallace let me introduce you...

New Post

I also speak about writing and editing (and books and movies) at conventions.

You can find out all about where I will be by checking out my appearances. My next event will be at I-Con on Long Island in just a few weeks.

I Write, Too

During my 30 years in publishing, I have had the pleasure of editing many books for DC Comics that have been collected into graphic novels and are still in print. Additionally, I have written numerous books, stories, and essays. If you're curious, you can find my complete bibliography here.

Sadly, only a handful remain in print with the most recent solo novel being Iron Man: Femme Fatales. My most recent project was The Essential Superman Encyclopedia. And the most recent essay was in Gotham City 14 Miles. I obviously recommend them all.

Welcome

Beginning today, the graduate student takes another step on his road to becoming a certified teacher in Secondary Education English. In other words, I'm learning how to be a teacher and with luck by Fall 2012, I will be employed in a Fairfield County high school using my experience as a writer and editor to prepare students for tomorrow.
